Novelist
Novelist is a great place to look for suggestions for book titles. You can find book suggestions by age level here and much more! For example, if you have a book that you have enjoyed and you would like to find more books like it, this site will give you suggestions! This is a subscription that our school district has paid for that you can access at home for free. Check on page 3 of your child's planner for the Login ID and Password. Novelist can also be accessed through the Fraser Valley Regional Library and includes books for adults as well (see their link above). http://www.sd36.bc.ca/destiny/online_resources/elementary.html
Check out these awesome Authors and their Websites!
I wanted to share with you some of the authors that I think children should not miss out on! I hope you visit the public library to sign out some of these books throughout your child's next few years! You will be sure to create a bonding and enjoyable experience and both of you will always have the wonderful memories of connecting together through literature. Remember, your child is never to old or too good of a reader to be read to. As your child grows, try to choose a novel that you can share together! There are a lot of great books out there that you will both enjoy!
Not all of these sites have interactive games for the students but they have lists of book titles and other interesting facts about authoring and illustrating books.
